Office of the Director Academics falls under the Office of the Vice Chancellor and is the first place to go if there is any question regarding anything to do with academics. It plans and implements academic projects and programs as envisioned and approved by the Academic Council and Board of Governors. It monitors academic activities to ensure proper implementation of academic regulations and policies and enforces the highest academic standards for excellence in teaching and learning. Regularly reviews and updates academic programs to ensure the quality of curricula, courses of studies, and allied infrastructure, including labs and classrooms. It also anticipates emerging needs and prepares future forecasts. It plays a central role in formulating Academic Rules and Regulations for the University. Director Academics addresses all issues relevant to the quality of learning in all Faculties in collaboration with Deans and Heads of the Departments. This shall include matters relating to curricula, teaching methodologies, and evaluation of teachers and students. This office suggests and helps implement programs that encourage critical thinking and enhances academic and research activities. The Director of Academics works as secretary of the Academic Council of the University, which involves preparing agenda in collaboration with the Deans & Heads of the Departments, holding meetings, recording decisions, and disseminating the same among all concerned for implementation. Office of the Director Academics also organizes Faculty Development Program in collaboration with Deans and Chair Departments and responds to queries by HEC or any other organization on relevant areas of academics.
