• Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq Celebrated at the University of Chitral

    Independence Day (14th August) and Marka-e-Haq were celebrated with great fervor and patriotism at the University of Chitral. The day’s events began with a couple of flag-hoisting ceremony performed by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah, followed by a tree plantation drive in the main lawn of the University.
    A special program was held in the main hall, with the Vice Chancellor as the Chief Guest. The program was organized in collaboration with Youth Empowerment Club and Chitral Students welfare society. The proceedings commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, after which a short documentary on Marka-e-Haq was screened. Students delivered inspiring speeches and presented patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere of national pride.
    In his address, Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah emphasized the significance of the day and extended congratulations on the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. He urged students to follow the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah — Unity, Faith, and Discipline — and encouraged them to use social media responsibly for the betterment of the country.
    The Vice Chancellor then distributed trophies among the winners of various competitions organized as part of the Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq celebrations. The program concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.
    Later in the day, a jeep rally was organized from the University of Chitral to the Chitral Scouts Headquarters. Upon arrival, Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah laid flowers at the Martyrs’ Monument to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes. He then met the Commandant of Chitral Scouts in his office and conveyed heartfelt Independence Day greetings.
