to share that Dr. Shah Fahad Ali Kha, Faculty Member Department of Zoology,
University of Chitral will participate in the international conference on climate
change and the cryosphere from an animal behavioral perspective at the Second
Interpolar Conference. Organized by ICIMOD, Arctic Centre of the University of
Lapland, and Ocean Policy Research Institute (OPRI)
The conference,
scheduled for September 3-5, 2025, in Kathmandu, Nepal, aims to promote
knowledge sharing and collaboration on cryosphere preservation. The
International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) has sponsored
Dr Shah Fahad Ali to present his groundbreaking work on climate change and the
cryosphere from an animal behavioral perspective at the Second Interpolar
Conference.
Dr. Shah is
excited to share his findings with global experts dedicated to protecting
fragile mountain ecosystems. This conference aligns with the International Year
of Glaciers' Preservation 2025, emphasizing the need for immediate action to
preserve the cryosphere.
Dr. Fahad has
been selected from a large pool of applicants belonging to different counties
which reflects the substance and quality of Dr. Fahad’s research and relevance
to the conference. It also highlights the calibre and capacity of the faculty
members of the university who outcompete global contenders in their respective
fields.
