Hostel Management

The University Hostels within the Campus of the University of Chitral shall be under the control of the Provost. The Provost will perform the following functions under the capacity of Hostels Management.

  • The Provost shall convene meetings of the Wardens and Assistant Wardens from time to time to discuss matters concerning the affairs of the hostels and make suitable recommendations for implementation and smooth functioning of the hostels.
  • The Provost shall also convene a meeting of the Wardens and Assistant Wardens if a request is made by a warden to discuss some urgent and pressing issue.
  • The Provost shall keep informed the Vice Chancellor / Project Director in respect of all matters of importance relating to the affairs of the hostels, resident-students’ activities. He shall obtain the approval of the Vice Chancellor / Project Director for any action, which he proposes regarding the management of hostels.
  • The Vice Chancellor / Project Director shall be the sanctioning authority for all kinds of expenditure upon the recommendations of the Provost subject to the Financial Rules of the University of Chitral. The Provost Office University of Chitral is supervises the following two female hostels of University of Chitral. One Girls Hostel University of Chitral Campus and one Girls Hostel Balach University of Chitral

Students’ Affairs

Co-curricular activities play a vital role in the academic and social life of students. Such activities admitted invigorate healthy relationship among the students and develop the sense of co-ordination in the living-learning process of the students, faculty and administration. These activities are vital for the physical, social and psychological growth of the students.

The Provost being the in-charge of Students’ Affairs / Students’ Societies has the followings aims and objectives to:

  • Plan and arranges social, cultural, and recreational activities of various student groups, according to university policies and regulations: Meets with student and faculty groups to plan activities.
  • Schedule events to prevent overlapping and coordinates activities with sports and other university programs.
  • Schedule events to prevent overlapping and coordinates activities with sports and other university programs
  • Contact caterers, entertainers, decorators, and others to arrange for scheduled events
  • Conduct orientation program for new students with other members of faculty and staff.
  • Promote student participation in social, cultural, and recreational activities
  • Co-ordinate preparation and publishing of student affairs calendar.
  • Supervise all students’ affairs specially co-circular activities.
  • Offer scholarships to needy students from university Endowment Funds and also arranges other scholarships, i.e., Mora scholarship of all Districts, Baitul Mal Scholarship, FATA Scholarships, USAID and FEF Scholarship.
  • Maintaining discipline on the campus of University of Chitral.
  • Enforce discipline and control behavior issues and acts indiscipline in the student community
  • Facilitate extra-curricular activities amongst the student’s community through students club and societies.
  • Address all the security concerns of the University.
