The four-day National Residential Youth
Summit Chitral was held in Nagar Fort, Chitral, where students, civil society
organizations, academicians, and volunteers from across the country
participated. The summit comprised various interactive sessions, group work,
discussions, and experiential learning models. The primary focus was to bring
together young leaders from different areas of the country to discuss pressing
issues, engage effectively in strategies for national development, and address
both national and regional challenges in an effective manner. During the
summit, participants highlighted the challenges and opportunities created by
digital transformation. The sustainable use of technology was also discussed in
detail as a tool to overcome climate change–related challenges. In his address,
the Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral shared global, regional, and
national statistics on the youth population and emphasized the importance of
youth in both global and national contexts. He stressed that the youth are the
future of the nation and must set clear goals to play their role in national
development. The Vice Chancellor further elaborated on the importance of
intellectual, physical, professional, and moral growth, advising students to
practice self-discipline, manage their time wisely, focus on their studies, and
remain persistent in their efforts to achieve their goals and contribute to
national and global development. The program was sponsored by Youth Summit
Chitral, Chitral Students Welfare Organization, KVDA, District Administration
Lower Chitral, Youth Impact, Helping Hand for Relief and Development, and the
University of Chitral.
