• The Department of Botany University of Chitral, in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Peshawar and the Chitral Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), organized a seminar

    The Department of Botany University of Chitral, in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Peshawar and the Chitral Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), organized a seminar on "Issues and Challenges in the Export of Honey and Dry Fruits." The seminar was attended by officials of TDAP, the Agriculture Research Station, representatives of the Kalasha community, Apiculturists, heads of departments, faculty members, and students.
    Director General TDAP Mr. Noman Bashir officially welcomed the guests and participants and explained objectives of the seminar. Dr. Sana Ullah, head of the Sociology Department, participated in the seminar as chief guest and delivered the keynote address highlighting the importance of the seminar and key issues and challenges in export of honey and dry fruits. 
    Mr. Hafiz Ullah, Lecturer in Botany and focal person of the seminar, delivered a presentation on “Climate Change Adaptation and Nature-Based Solutions.” Dr. Nasir Khan, Director Agriculture Research Station Chitral, presented on “The Quality of Honey and Adulteration.” Deputy Director TDAP Mr. Muhammad Ayaz spoke on “Honey and Dry Fruit Export.” Deputy Director TDAP Mr. Zahid Khattak addressed the audience on “The Role of TDAP in Promoting Exports.”  
    The seminar highlighted the major hurdles and strategies to promote the trade of honey and dry fruits on both the domestic and international levels.
