The Department of Urdu at the University of Chitral
organized a grand Book Fair in collaboration with Study Aid Foundation for
excellence Chitral and YDC under the theme “See Chitral
Students Education Expo.” The event attracted a large number of students,
faculty members, and visitors from across the region, who showed keen interest
in the diverse range of books displayed at various stalls.
A wide collection of books covering literature, language,
history, religion, and general knowledge were showcased by local and national
publishers, providing students with valuable learning resources and promoting a
culture of reading among the youth.
The Deputy Commissioner of Lower Chitral
also visited the book stalls and appreciated the University’s efforts in
organizing such an educational and cultural event. He commended the Department
of Urdu for promoting literary and intellectual engagement among students and
the community.
Speaking on the occasion, faculty members highlighted the
importance of reading in shaping creative and critical thinking skills among
students. They emphasized that such expos play a vital role in connecting
learners with knowledge resources and encouraging lifelong learning habits.
The event concluded with a note of appreciation for all
participating publishers, students, and organizers whose collective efforts
made the book fair a great success.
