On 12th November, the
Chitralian Climate Action Society and Faculty Members of the University attended
a workshop on the final draft of the Climate Change Adaptation Plan for Chitral,
organized by Contemporary Associates Islamabad and KP EPA. The draft’s strengths,
key barriers and potential viability were critically analyzed and evaluated
through group tasks and larger group discussions. Faculty members and students made
valuable contributions to shaping an effective climate change adaptation plan
for Chitral's future and emphasized the engagement of academia to ensure its
positive impacts. In recognition of the contribution towards making valuable
improvements in the previous and final drafts of the plan, faculty and student
participation under the banner of the Chitralian Climate Action Society was
presented with a souvenir.
