The University of Chitral convened the 7th Meeting
of its Academic Council in the main conference room of the university.
The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah, Vice Chancellor,
University of Chitral, and was attended by all elected members of the
council, including Heads of Departments, the Additional
Director Finance, and the Additional Director QEC.
During the meeting, the minutes of the Board of
Studies from ten departments were thoroughly reviewed and approved
after detailed discussion. The council deliberated on various important
academic and administrative agenda items aimed at enhancing the quality of
education and student development at the university.
Key agenda points included:

Establishment
of the Golden Club at the University of
Chitral to promote community engagement.

Formation
of the Personality Grooming and Professional Development Club to support students’ personal growth, confidence building, and
career readiness.
·
Clarification
of coursework and research requirements for
MS/MPhil programs to ensure uniformity and adherence to HEC standards.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah, also directed
all Heads of Departments to prepare their departmental working papers
for submission to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in order to obtain NOCs
for launching PhD programs in various disciplines at the University of
Chitral.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further
strengthen academic standards, enhance student support mechanisms, and promote
research culture at the university.
