The University of Chitral marked a
significant advancement towards the development of the University with the bid
opening ceremony for the Public Sector Development Project “Establishment of
the University of Chitral Phase 1” funded by the federal government through
HEC.
The activity was held here on Monday in the
Central Committee room of the University under the Convenorship of the Project
Director Engineer Zia Ullah attended by other officials.
The meeting commenced with the recitation
of verses from the Holy Quran, setting a solemn and reverent tone to the
proceedings. Project Director Engineer Zia Ullah, addressing the participants,
emphasized the University of Chitral’s commitment to a transparent and
competitive bidding process at all stages of the project.
In adherence to the principles of
transparency and fairness in accordance with relevant rules and procedures,
sealed bids were opened in the presence of representatives from construction
companies.
Among the distinguished guests present at
the occasion were the Director of Planning and Development, Mr. Attiq Ahmad
Tariq; Deputy Director of Planning and Development, Mr. Najiullah; Assistant
Director Works Engineer, Mr. Attaullah; Public Relations Officer, Mr. Shakeel
Hussain, and Accounts Officer Mr. Sultan Hussain while Muhammad Ali Khan CEO
MAK Engineering Consultants along with his team provided technical assistance
in the process. The systematic approach underscores the Vice Chancellor’s
commitment to developing the University and adhering to the laid down
principles and procedures. The VC expressed his appreciation for the unwavering
dedication and hard work put forth by the whole team. He added that this
milestone signifies a leap forward to turn the University into a conducive
center for learning and research for the inhabitants of the region and beyond.
