A two-day capacity building workshop on the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) successfully concluded at the University of Chitral. The training was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KP-PPRA) in collaboration with the KP-SPEED Project, under the directives of the Honorable Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of procurement professionals by providing hands-on training on the newly launched electronic procurement system, developed in partnership with the World Bank through the KP-SPEED Project. The initiative reflects the provincial government's commitment to modernizing procurement processes, promoting efficiency, and ensuring transparency across public sector institutions.
Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah, Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral, graced the concluding session as the chief guest. While addressing the participants, he emphasized that learning is a lifelong process and encouraged staff to actively embrace modern technological tools that improve institutional performance. He commended the KP Government for introducing the EPADS system, stating that it would significantly enhance transparency and streamline procurement procedures.
The Vice Chancellor also urged the provincial government to promote gender equality by ensuring the active participation of female staff in procurement processes. He highlighted that inclusive representation contributes to better governance and strengthens institutional integrity.
Participants appreciated KP-PPRA and the KP-SPEED Project for organizing the training and providing an opportunity to gain essential skills relevant to contemporary procurement systems. The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates among the participants.
