During this successful meeting, chaired by Dr.
Muhammad Romman (HOD/Convener, Department of Botany, University of Chitral),
participants were welcomed, and gratitude was expressed to all members and
guests. The session began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an. A comprehensive
review of the Ph.D. in Botany, MPhil in Botany, BS in Botany, and AD in Botany
programs was conducted, aligning with the HEC Undergraduate and Graduate Policy
2024. Among the key outcomes was the significant approval of the Ph.D. program
in Botany. The Board’s unanimous approval of the revised courses represents a
groundbreaking advancement in our commitment to research and the pursuit of
academic excellence.
Internal members physically present in the
Conference Room included Dr. Muhammad Sufaid Khan (Assistant Professor), Dr.
Ishfaq Hameed (Assistant Professor), Mr. Hafiz Ullah (Lecturer/Secretary BOS),
Mrs. Uzma Sher (Lecturer), Ms. Rizwana Bilqees (Lecturer), and Hasin Sahar
(Lecturer). External members participated online and contributed valuable
insights, including Prof. Dr. Waheed Murad (Chairman/Professor, Department of
Botany, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan), Dr. Sahar Naseem (Lecturer,
Department of Botany, University of Malakand), and Dr. Fayaz Ali (Lecturer,
Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Upper Dir).
At the end of the meeting, the Chair expressed
sincere gratitude to all members for their time, guidance, and valuable
feedback, which will be essential in enhancing the department's academic
programs.
