An orientation session on the “Each One Teach One” (EOTO) initiative was conducted at the University of Chitral on November 12, 2025. Heads of Academic Departments (HODs), NCHD district level representatives and faculty members participated in the session. Mr. Maqsood Shah, Deputy Director, National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), facilitated the session and highlighted the overall objectives, implementation strategy, teaching modules, and framework of the EOTO initiative and the role of university and NCHD in its implementation to contribute to literacy emergency of the government and community empowerment initiatives. He also elaborated on the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, emphasizing the collaborative role of educational institutions in promoting literacy through engagement of the volunteer students from University of Chitral.
The participants shared their experiences and provided valuable inputs for implementation of the EOTO initiative. They also shared their suggestions for implementation of the initiative in its real sense to achieve its objectives thereby contributing to the cause of literacy and education development in the region. The participants were also informed about the steps undertaken by the university to integrate the EOTO initiative into university’s curriculum and extended its support in implementation across the region.
