The Department of Tourism and Hotel
Management, University of Chitral, in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), successfully completed a 4-day Adventure
Tourism Training Program for students.
The training included practical
sessions on trekking, Rock Climbing, Ice skating , Mountain cycling, Para gliding and safety
techniques, conducted by professional trainers from KPCTA. The program aimed to
equip students with essential skills needed for the growing adventure tourism
sector in Chitral.
A brief closing ceremony was held
where participants received certificates in recognition of their active
involvement. Both the University of Chitral and KPCTA reaffirmed their
commitment to promoting skilled youth engagement and sustainable tourism development
in the region. Muhmmad Ali Syed, Director Projects and Events, KPCTA, in his
closing remarks told that, we have initiated the program for the youth of Chitral,
to inculcate the spirit of adventure and tourism. He further added that such
activities are crucial for a healthy society, and it brings a good name to the
nation. He thanked Mr. Danish Ali, Lecturer, Department of Tourism and Hotel
Management, for his time and cooperation, in arranging such activities in
Chitral.
