The third meeting of
the Ethical Institutional Review Board (EIRB) was held at the University of
Chitral under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah on
October 17, 2025. The purpose of this meeting was to conduct a thorough ethical
review of research proposals prior to their submission to the Higher Education
Commission (HEC) in Islamabad. The primary objective was to ensure complete
adherence to established ethical guidelines for research.
The EIRB meeting was
attended by Dr. Muhammad Romman (Chairman/Additional Director ORIC), Dr. Sana
Ullah (member/HoD Sociology), Dr. Ebad ur Rahman (member/HoD Islamic Studies),
Dr. Syed Fahad Ali Shah (member/Additional Director Finance) and Mr.
Danish, Lecturer in Tourism & Hotel Management.
Stage-I research
proposals were presented by the following faculty members: Dr. Atta Ullah
(Lecturer in Mathematics), Dr. Fahad Ali Khan (Lecturer in Zoology), Dr. Abad
ur Rahman (Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies), Dr. Muhammad Sufaid Khan
(Assistant Professor of Chemistry), Dr. Saif ul Mujahid Shah (Assistant
Professor of Economics), Dr. Rizwan Ullah (Assistant Professor of Management
Sciences), Dr. Muhammad Romman (Assistant Professor of Botany), Dr. Muhammad
Sadiq Khan (Assistant Professor of Computer Science), and Dr. Ateeq Ahmad Tariq
(Assistant Professor of Education).
All nine research proposals
were thoroughly evaluated and recommended for submission to the HEC after
incorporating the suggested changes by the EIRB.
