From August 26-28, 2024, the University of Chitral (UoCh) hosted its second Teaching and Learning Enhancement Workshop (TLEW) as part of the University Improvement Program (UIP). This significant initiative was led by the Network of Quality, Teaching, and Learning (QTL_net) at Aga Khan University (AKU), in collaboration with the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) facilitators from Karakoram International University (KIU), all trained by QTL_net.
This transformative three-day workshop, modeled and certified by the Instructional Skills Workshop Network in Canada, combined comprehensive large and small group sessions, effectively reinforcing the principles of learner-centered teaching.
Since its inception in 2022, this partnership with KIU and UoCh has played a critical role in enhancing academic quality and faculty development in northern Pakistan. With 18 participants in this year's workshop, 62% of UoCh faculty are now equipped with the skills to implement best practices in lesson planning and actively engage learners for improved outcomes.
Together, we’re not just teaching—we’re transforming education for a brighter future!
