The University of Chitral
participated in Chitral Expo-2024. The expo was organized by the Trade
Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) at Pamir Hotel, Chitral.
Chitral University played a
significant role in the Expo, contributing to the event's success in multiple
capacities. The university's involvement included:

Chitrailian Science
Society in collaboration with Agriculture Research Center: Presented a stall showcasing advancements in agricultural research
and scientific innovations, emphasizing the promotion of organic food in the
region.

Tourism and Hotel
Management Department: Operated a stall
promoting Chitral's rich cultural heritage, tourism attractions, and
hospitality services, encouraging tourism growth and showcasing local
hospitality expertise.

The Department of Sociology also arranged two stalls at the Expo. The stalls showcased the rich
cultural heritage of the area. Various handicrafts and artifacts were displayed
in these stalls. Visitors showed keen interest in the stalls and appreciated
the efforts of the Sociology Department students for presenting local culture
at the expo

Guest Relations Officers
(GROs): The university also provided vital support
through Guest Relations Officers (GROs) who ensured smooth coordination and
facilitation throughout the event.

Stage Secretary Service: The stage secretaries for the Expo were Sawera Hussain and Hani
Amir from the Department of English at Chitral University, who skillfully
managed event proceedings and engagements, contributing to the seamless
execution of the Expo's activities.
The
University of Chitral's involvement in the Expo-2024 underscores university's
commitment to promote economic diversification and regional prosperity through
education and research.
