• “Best Club of the Year Award” for Youth Empowerment Club, University of Chitral

    The Youth Empowerment Club (YEC) University of Chitral received Best Club of the Year Award 2023. The award was presented to the club during the Iconic Youth Con23 held at Aiwan-E-Quaid, Islamabad. This significant event was organized by the Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), showcasing a collective effort to empower and inspire the youth of Pakistan.

    Distinguished personalities such as Mr. Javaid Siddiqui, CEO HHRD USA, Mr. Muhammad Saleem Mansoori, Country Director HHRD Pakistan, faculty of Islamabad-based universities, and youth activists graced the occasion with their presence.

    The Iconic Youth Con23 brought together a vibrant gathering of 400 students and youth leaders hailing from 28 renowned universities across the country. The event served as a platform for open discourse, idea exchange, and networking among the young minds of Pakistan. A seven (7) member group representing Youth Empowerment Club University of Chitral also attended the event. The team was led by President YEC Mr. Jamshid Ahmad, and included Mr. Rizwan Ahmad, Ms. Sabahat Rahim Baig, Mr. Aafaq Aziz, Mr. Aqil Ahmad, Mr. Tofeeq Ahmad, Mr. Shahbaz Jahangir and Mr. Muhammad Naqeeb Elahi representing different departments of the University of Chitral.

    Various interactive sessions were conducted, covering crucial topics relevant to the challenges and opportunities faced by the youth today. The inclusion of Mushaira, a poetic symposium, and Inam Ghar, a platform recognizing and rewarding talent, added an entertaining and dynamic element to the event. Moreover, cultural stalls were also set representing the cultural diversity of Pakistan.

    Representing the Youth Empowerment Clubs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region, the President YEC, UoCh, Mr. Jamshid Ahmad, (BS English), University of Chitral briefed the participants about the activities of YEC UoCh and YEC University of Peshawar. Mr. Jamshid shed light on the impactful activities of YECs in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) region. His speech highlighted the role of YECs in empowering the youth, fostering leadership skills, and contributing to positive societal change.

    In a landmark moment for the Youth Empowerment Club of the University of Chitral, the organization was honored with the prestigious "Best Club of the Year Award." This recognition served as a testament to the club's dedication, innovation, and impact among the 28 universities that participated in the event. The club dedicates this prestigious award to our volunteers, students and teachers.
