Office of Research, Innovation, and
Commercialization/GYM Club University of Chitral organized an Awareness session
titled “Rhubarb Squash Making” on November 02, 2022.
This training was conducted under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Zahir
Shah (Vice Chancellor of Chitral University). His honor is committed to
improving the research position of the University of Chitral worldwide. This
awareness session aims to produce organic Rhubarb squash. It helped students to
learn how to produce squash from fruits as an additional way to market it,
which extends the effective season in which they can sell their goods.
Furthermore, it helped promote research and innovative skills among the
students of Chitral University. More than 11 faculty members and 93 students of
the University of Chitral attended the occasion. Members of the GYM club were
also present at the event.
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rauf (Director, Agricultural Research Station, Chitral
Lower) addressed the students and highlighted the benefits of Squash making and
its business in Chitral.
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rauf (Director, of Agricultural Research Station, Chitral
Lower) and Dr. Muhammad Romman, Additional Director of ORIC distributed
certificates among the participants.
Dr. Muhammad Naseer (Senior Research Officer, Agriculture Research Station,
Chitral) was the resource person. The training concluded with a healthy
question-and-answer session with students and faculty members.
