The laptop distribution ceremony was held at the University of Chitral under the Prime Minister's Youth Laptop Scheme Phase III. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Imran Yousufzai, Deputy Commissioner of Lower Chitral. Presiding over the ceremony was the esteemed Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral, Prof Dr. Zahir Shah.
Mr. Qamar Hayat, District Police Officer of Lower Chitral, attended the program as a Guest of Honor. Notable community members, including Shahzada Gul, also participated in the program. Additionally, key figures such as the Principal of Government Girls Degree College, Musarat Jabeen, and the Additional Registrar of the University of Chitral, Mr. Sahib Khan, contributed their presence to the momentous occasion.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr. Zahir Shah, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to view the laptops not merely as tools for learning but also as opportunities for online earning. Emphasizing the transformative power of technology, he urged the recipients to harness the potential of their laptops to broaden their horizons and contribute meaningfully to the digital landscape.
In a commendable effort, the University of Chitral distributed a total of 142 laptops among the students in three phases, marking a significant stride toward promoting digital literacy and empowerment among the youth.
