Directorate of Research, Innovation & Commercialization/GYM Club University of Chitral organized a Poster Competition entitled “Forest Protection” on 7th December 2022.
The competition was open to all students and faculty members. Posters were displayed in an exhibition at the Lawn of Main Hall, University of Chitral, with an in-person judging session. The competition was held from 11:00 am to 03:00 PM that was concluded with the prize competition.
The aim of this competition was to encourage the students to share their research findings and find inspiration beyond the areas of specific research interest. Moreover, it helped to promote research and innovation among the students of the University of Chitral.
Dr. Ishfaq Hameed, (HOD, Department of Botany, University of Chitral), Mr. Shah Fahad Ali Khan (HOD, Department of Zoology, University of Chitral), and Mr. Samia Manan (Lecturer, Department of Economics, University of Chitral) were judges in the poster competition. More than 17 faculty members and administrative staff of the University of Chitral graced the occasion. Members of the GYM Club were also present at the event.
Mr. Zahid Ullah (Advisor to Vice Chancellor, University of Chitral) and Dr. Nazim Rahim (Additional Registrar, University of Chitral), Dr. Muhammad Romman, Deputy Director ORIC and Mr. Basharat Hussain (HOD, Department of Political Science, University of Chitral) distributed Cash Prizes and certificates among position holder students. The Advisor to Vice Chancellor appraised the efforts of the GYM Club team in this regard. The poster competition was supervised by Dr. Muhammad Romman, Deputy Director ORIC/ Focal Person GYM Club, University of Chitral, and his team.
The seminar was concluded with healthy questions and answers session by students and faculty members.
