Directorate of
Research, Innovation & Commercialization/GYM Club University of Chitral
organized a Poster Competition entitled “Agriculture and Food Production” on
24th November 2022.
Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah the Vice Chancellor University
of Chitral visited the poster competition and asked various questions from the
participants of the poster competition. The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the
efforts of the GYM Club team in this regard. The poster competition was
supervised by Dr. Muhammad Romman, Deputy Director ORIC/Focal Person GYM Club,
University of Chitral.
The competition was open to all students and faculty
members. Posters were displayed in the Lawn of the University of Chitral, with
an in-person judging session.
The aim of this competition was to encourage the students
to share their research findings and find inspiration beyond the areas of
specific research interest. Moreover, it helped to promote research and
innovation among the students of the University of Chitral.
Dr. Nazim Rahim (Additional Registrar, University of
Chitral), Dr. Habib Ullah Nawab, (Convener Oversight Committee (OC), Green
Youth Movement (GYM) Club, University of Chitral), Ms. Nahida Noor, (Member
Oversight Committee (OC), Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club, University of
Chitral), Mr. Basharat Hussain (HOD, Department of Political Science,
University of Chitral), Dr. Fahad Ali Shah (Communication Specialist, ORIC,
University of Chitral) and more than 15 faculty members of the University of
Chitral graced the occasion. Members of the GYM Club were also present at
the event.
Dr. Ishfaq Hameed, (HOD, Department of Botany, University
of Chitral) Mr. Shah Fahad Ali Khan (HOD, Department of Zoology, University of
Chitral), and Dr. Yasir Arafat (Deputy Director QEC, University of Chitral)
were judges in the poster competition.
The seminar concluded with healthy questions and answers
session by students and faculty members. At the end of the program prize
distribution ceremony was also held.
