University of Chitral Organized an “International research Symposium”

Department of Zoology, University of Chitral organized an International research symposium on December 04, 2019, at the University of Chitral main hall. The theme of the symposium was “Research in Higher Education: The Why and the How?”  A large number of researchers, academicians, and research scholars attended the symposium.

The program was moderated by Mr. Shah Fahad Ali Khan, Head of the Zoology Department. Keynote speaker of the symposium was Dr. Bill Atweh, Retired Adjunct Professor Curtin at of University Australia. He discussed at length how research is helping to change education around the globe. Dr. Bill also stressed the importance of research in local settings with a global perspective. The second session of Dr. Bill focused on the conceptualization of research projects. Ms. Farman Nisa from AKU IED Professional Development Centre briefly discussed the role and importance of research in teaching and learning.

 Dr. Taj Uddin, Provost University of Chitral thanked the guests for their participation. Mr. Basharat Hussain, Registrar, University of Chitral highlighted the importance of such events for the educational development and also assured his support for organizing such activities. Certificates and souvenirs were presented to the speakers and organizers of the event.
