GYM Club /Directorate of Research, Innovation & Commercialization organized a seminar entitled “Wildlife significance in perspective of Hindukash Region” at the University of Chitral

The Directorate of Research, Innovation & Commercialization organized a seminar entitled “Wildlife significance in perspective of Hindukash Region” on 16th September 2022 to shed light on the Wildlife Importance of the Chitral and Gilgit area.

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Romman, Deputy Director ORIC/ Focal Person GYM Club, University of Chitral. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Muhammad Zafar Khan, Chairman, Department of Forestry, Range & Wildlife Management, Karakoram International University, Gilgit. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Khan started the seminar by highlighting the alarming surge in the Chitral. He furthered this by sharing the importance of Wildlife in the Hindukush Region.

Ms. Nahida Noor, (Member Oversight Committee (OC), Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club, University of Chitral), Dr. Habib Ullah Nawab, (Convener Oversight Committee (OC), Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club, University of Chitral), Dr. Ishfaq Hameed, (HOD, Department of Botany, University of Chitral) and Mr. Fathul Bari, (Lecturer, Department of Zoology, University of Chitral) graced the occasion. Members of the GYM Club were also present at the event.

The seminar was concluded with a healthy Question, Answer session by students and faculty members of the Department of Botany and Department of Zoology.  Certificates were distributed by Dr. Muhammad Zafar to the participants. Chitrali Cap and Shield were presented to the resource person.
