Department of Economics, University of Chitral will be organizing a joint call conference with two social entrepreneurs on Monday, December 02, 2019 by 11:00 a.m. (PST) at Conference Room, PD Office, University of Chitral.
The purpose of it will be to introduce the students to the idea of social entrepreneurship and to identify as well as solve problems around them. The guest speakers will share their experience and knowledge to convey what it means to be social entrepreneurs.
The two guests are the CEO of the company ModulusTech, Nabeel Siddiqui and Strategy Professional Majid Kazmi.
Mr. Majid Kazmi is an experienced banking professional, social entrepreneur and diversity and inclusion thought leader based in Toronto, Canada. He is a recognized presenter on topics such as leadership, inclusive entrepreneurship and career development for young professionals. He is the co-founder and CEO of Valu Ventures Inc., a unique social enterprise that supports startup businesses run by immigrant entrepreneurs. Students will get great insights from him about building a business proposal, building a product and getting it to the market
Mr. Nabeel Siddiqui is the CEO of ModulusTech. ModulusTech provides environment-friendly, innovative flat-packed housing solutions, making it possible to set up houses in as little as three hours. Nabeel is also an ambassador for the Meaningful Business 100, which is an annual celebration of the 100 most socially impactful leaders who have the goal to achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. He will be sharing great insights about business and social entrepreneurship. Students able to learn a lot from his experience in the business world.
Mr. Mushahid Nawaz khan will also be facilitating the joint call conference. He is an advocate of social entrepreneurship and has been involved in many business and hackathon competitions in the past, most of which had the goal of social entrepreneurship. He has worked on many software projects, including business software, consumer-facing applications, and data-driven projects. Since graduating, he has been working as a Software Developer at Oracle in Canada where he is building Human Resources software for other businesses.
