Prof Dr. Anjum Halai, Vice Provost, Professor & Dean, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Aga Khan University, paid a special visit to the University of Chitral and met with Prof Dr. Zahir Shah Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Tajuddin Sharar, Provost University of Chitral. The delegation was comprised of Dr. Riaz Hussain, Acting Head PDC, Chitral, Saleema Punjwani, Executive Officer Provost Office, and Fayaz Noor Muhammad, Adviser Provost Office AKU. Mr. Abdul Wali Khan Yaftali, Senior Instructor & Coordinator School Improvement Program and Mr. Gohar Ali Shah, Instructor PDC, Chitral, Mr. Mustafa Kamal, Assistant Registrar Academics, and Shah Abdul Qadir, Provost Office University of Chitral. Dr. Anjum Halai talked about the programs of AKU-IED Karachi Pakistan. The leadership of both the universities agreed to further continue negotiation for mutual collaboration in different areas including teachers’ professional development and research. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr. Zahir Shah appreciated the contribution of the Aga Khan Development Network in the provision of quality services to the people of the Northern region of Pakistan. He said that mutual collaboration between the two universities would be of great help in bringing the University of Chitral at par with the best universities of the country.  He thanked Dr Anjum Halai and her team for paying special visit to the University of Chitral and hoped that the visit would be a milestone for promoting public-private collaborative partnership for improving quality tertiary higher education in Chitral in particular and in KP in general.
