The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved the upgradation of sub campuses of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal, Dir Upper, and Bacha Khan Campus, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, currently operating in Chitral into a full fledged university as University of Chitral on March 31, 2017.
Today on Wednesday May 10, 2017, a meeting was held in Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan where the charge of Bacha Khan Campus Chitral with movable and immovable properties was officially handed over to the University of Chitral.
